Blue Air baggage
Each airline has its own baggage policy. At Blue Air, passengers could take on board one hand baggage without any additional baggage fees. The hand luggage could not exceed 10 kg in weight and 55 x 40 x 20 cm in size.
Passengers could have up to 4 pieces of checked-in luggage, each piece could not exceed 32 kg in weight and 100 x 80 x 30 cm in size. The acceptable weight depended on the selected booking class (20 kg for the Classic travel class and 32 kg for the Premium travel class).
Blue Air booking classes
There were 3 booking classes at Blue Air: Light, Classic and Premium. All these classes had free check-in.
Light class was dedicated to people who didn't want to pay too much for the trip. There was one hand baggage included in the ticket price.
Classis class was for passengers who wanted to travel with additional small checked-in baggage (20 kg) and wanted to choose their seat. They also had a 50% discount for date or route change related fees.
The Premium class was related to a larger checked-in baggage (32kg). Passengers could choose their seat, receive free meals on most routes and they didn't have to pay for booking changes.
Blue Air check in online
Blue Air check in online was available 30 days before departure and no later than 12 hours before the flight. If there were any changes to the booking, passengers would have to check in again. Blue Air offered online check-in on almost every route. However, there were some exceptions, such as Lisbon, Palma de Mallorca or Tel Aviv.
Fleet
The fleet consisted of various aircraft, such as Boeing 737, series 737-300, 737-400, 737-500, 737-700 and 737-800.
In 2017, the company announced an order for twelve Boeing 737 MAX 8, which entered the fleet from the second quarter of 2019.
Headquarters
The carrier had its main base in Bucharest-Otopeni (Henri Coandă International Airport).
The airport is located approximately 16 km from the city center. Passengers can get there by train, by bus (the last stop is Gara de Nord), by taxi or rented car.
However, Blue Air also had other operational bases. The bases were located in Bacău, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Iași (Romania), Alghero, Turin (Italy), Larnaca (Cyprus) and Liverpool (the UK).
Refreshments at Blue Air
The offer depended on the selected route. There were some routes with free snacks and drinks. Passengers could order hot meals during longer routes, as well as flights to/from Bucharest or Sibiu, in which case passengers had to book the desired meal at least 12 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Additional services
Passengers who planned their holidays with Blue Air could also purchase many additional services. For example, during the reservation they could purchase a bus transfer which was available for the following route: from Constanta or Brasov to Bucharest-Otopeni airport.
Tourists travelling via domestic routes in Romania could take one piece of checked-in luggage of 20 kg, free of charge, and would receive a free snack on board.

First flight with Blue Air
I travel to Romania on business Using Blue Air was convenient for where I wanted to fly However the only down side was that I could not take my hand bag as well as hand luggage - which is not ideal when travelling business.

The staff was nice and helpfull, the airplain was clean and the flight had no delay.

Bag carry on size
20cm width carry on size and everyones bags checked before boarding. £95 fine if 21cm !

Dont was so good travel, we pay extra to choose our seats and to have more space at the legs and nothing happen , was a surprise to see our seats
